Panorama shot of Seoul from Seoul Tower!

I was just looking at “My Pictures” folder in my PC when I saw this shot I took from Seoul Tower in September last year for our third year anniversary trip. I totally forgot that I even took this panorama shot from the viewing deck!

What I remember was that I have told myself that I will get back on editing this picture after I’m done with the other photos to be uploaded on my Facebook page. (And I did this without any tripod!)

However, I was expectedly overwhelmed by the sheer number that this was forgotten until now.

I can’t wait for December fo our return trip. Before we know it, it’s already the -ber months! It seems only yesterday that we celebrated New Year!

On what freedom means

When I opened my browser, I saw Google’s homepage showcasing the Philippine flag, as we are now celebrating our 114th independence from the colonial grip of Spain.

But whether we are truly free is another story.

I will not be delving more into the socioeconomic and political aspects of our country’s current situation.  There are various theories explaining that third world, or okay, developing countries like us are politically independent but economically dependent; therefore undermining the concept of freedom.

But the question of freedom is also quite personal to most people, and I also always ask myself am I really free?

Perfect photo for Independence Day

It’s a holiday today here in the Philippines because of our 114th Independence Day.

I was just browsing my news feed on Facebook to see what was going on with my contacts, then this picture posted by one of my classmates from graduate school popped up from my screen.

Then it hit me. It was HER. Wow! I’m so living for the whole theme of this prenuptial shoot. Maria Clara and Crisostomo Ibarra from Jose Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere.

I thought she was just looking for inspiration for her prenuptial shoot! It was one of the coolest and most beautiful thing I’ve seen in days, and it makes me extra happy to see it in this special day. Happy Independence Day!

And yet they extended the deadline: UP Diliman!

Given my elaborate lamentation last night because of the apparent hassle of the following day (which is today), I had mixed feelings when I saw this sign posted on the Office of the University Registrar.

On one hand, I was delighted that I did not have to queue, as the long line started all the way from the Cashier from the 3rd floor until the entrance. On other other hand, I was mad because I skipped exercise altogether just to go to school.

They should have made this crucial piece of information known since last night. Not everyone is a full-time student and most graduate students are working full-time. I’m so disappointed.

Stray kitty!

I’ve been seeing this kitty in Farmers – Cubao for the last three nights on my way home from work. I just felt really bad over its mewing while scavenging for food.

Yesterday, I stopped by a vendor of candies and brought a pack of Skyflakes biscuit. I had tossed it to the poor kitten but she expectedly ran away. When I was about 10 feet away, I saw it come back to eat the food.
