I’m quite aware that I don’t own a colorful bag. Looking at the things I have, the closest thing I’ve got that has ‘color’ was an olive green messenger bag. I’ve longed debated whether or not I should be getting one as I like my neutrals. However, it won’t hurt to get even just one bag in a cheerful hue.
So when I decided to finally get a colorful bag, I had my eyes set on this Longchamp Coated Canvas messenger bag. It was also my first ever Longchamp. When you think of Longchamp, the usual mental image conjured was the popular Le Pliage. I think they look okay, but I can’t see myself carrying one, even with those un-tapered, briefcase or duffle-style bags they offer. Technically, on the style side, the one I just got was on the safe side. But the yellow orange color itself was a nice surprise for somebody who adamantly avoids color.

If you look at the zipper pulls, you can see the same grained leather used in Le Pliage bags.
The grained leather tag was also inside, and I have no idea how to read the numbers.
One of the most interesting features was the lining. The roomy interior had a contrasting lining, but the zipped side-pocket has the same yellow orange color of the body.
But I just find the adjustable strap a bit weird. I’ve been trying to figure it out but I guess that the most convenient way to use it was at its longest. Also, the coated canvas makes it waterproof and perfect for rainy weather. However, I’m worried of the leather part in front because it has a suede-like texture and getting it wet may ruin it. Still, I can’t complain a lot because I got it at an extremely good price. Hopefully, this bag may make me more comfortable in embracing colors and less wary of anything bright.
