Whenever we are in RCBC Plaza, I always check out the magazine stall (I forgot the name of the place, I think it doesn’t even have one) to see if back issues of some fashion magazines are already up for grabs.
I tend to get US Vogue from Fully Booked for a full price only under two circumstances: 1) it’s a March and a September issue, or 2) the issue is thick enough to be worth Php 599.
So you can guess enough that I did not buy the January issue as brand new.
Well, the magazine did not have any Vogue available, but I managed to get the March 2012 issue of UK Harper’s Bazaar with Georgia May Jagger in the cover.
Since it is a back issue, I bought it for only Php 150, but I was shocked to see its original price: Php 1085! Wow, that’s way more expensive than US Vogue.

Palawan, Philippines – UK Harper’s Bazaar March 2012
What caught my attention while browsing through the pages was this spread. At first I thought that it was like the Philippines. Then reading the text, it really is the Philippines!
I was really happy with how the writer, Lisa Grainger, described her experience in this private resort in Palawan, Philippines. She pretty much captured the beauty of our islands here. I have never been around the country so much, but I’ve been to few of our beaches and each time I always tell myself that this country is beyond exquisite!
It was a good read and it made me realize I haven’t been out of the city this whole summer! Well maybe after the rainy season, I can persuade Mon that we can visit some beach within Luzon!
