Aside from the Bayswater, the Roxanne is considered as one of the iconic styles from Mulberry. While the design itself has a smaller (Blenheim) and bigger (Rosemary) variety, the Roxanne hit the Goldilocks’ zone for being ‘just right’.
Imagine my surprise when I saw this bag. But my colorblind self attacked again and I thought this was color brown. Several people pointed out that it was apple green.
To add to the topmost viewed post from this site (i.e. Comparing a Fake and Authentic Mulberry Bag), I will be adding the Mulberry coin tag with no serial number below as reference:
Compared to the Bayswater, it is smaller in size and narrower in depth by around two inches. But if you put the flap up, it will almost have the same height as the Bayswater.
While it still looks relatively smaller compared to a Balenciaga Men’s Day Bag, they almost have the same volume with the flap up.
It is a very heavy bag. Even without anything inside, it still weighs a ton. It must definitely be due to all the straps, studs and pockets all over it. But what I love most about it is the D-ring on the ear-flap looking contraption on both sides. It is obviously where you can attach a detachable strap.
I searched for photos online of a Roxanne bag with a strap on it, and unsurprisingly, Alexa was way ahead of my idea.LOL
I then got the strap from the Wexford messenger bag that I have and see if looks okay. Good thing they don’t look stupid together. This is not saying much as Alexa used a guitar strap for her Roxanne! This girl has got really serious spunk!
After a day’s use, I think I might have developed scoliosis! I pared down the stuff that I usually bring but it was still too much. Oh well, at least I gave it a go.
Looks great as a messenger! It really is too bad that it was so heavy, though! I think I would suffer, and just model through it.
Hahaha yeah! I agree it really does not look bad at all. But one must suffer at least for something this nice! 😉
