Goodbye, goodbye!

After four days in Palawan, reality kicked in and I found myself back in our office in Pasay! Not that I am complaining but it would have been better if I had spent the whole week away from everything. =P But good thing I reported for work because there was something today that made me excited. The printed copies of the our annual report have arrived!

It was Rob’s baby, having spent a considerable time and effort to produce a wonderful annual report. It was special to me as well because I got to design the cover/front page! =P We had no other photo in mind, other than the one we currently have as cover photo on our Facebook page, so I had to edit the text out of the girl’s hair.

Our annual report!

Another reason why I had to be in the office was because of the last day of two of our interns. Leila, who happened to be one of the six people who interviewed me back in April, has been wonderful and I never felt more comfortable practicing my spoken French with her. I usually get startled whenever I talk to a native speaker, but she was always helpful with a lot of things especially with idiomatic expressions. My new found courage in French was largely attributed to her. =D As for Naoki, he was always the very cheerful and bubbly guy who doesn’t get tired smiling and greeting everybody “Good morning!”! I will surely miss how good of a sport he is, every time people joke around with him during lunch time, and teach him crazy Filipino expressions. He was close to tears during the video presentation but too bad he did not shed one. =PTwo leaving interns

I am just glad that I got to meet both of them, even for a couple of months and hopefully we get to see each other soon! <3
