It is almost the 6th month of the year, and nothing had taken place here since my holiday haiku. I’ve said this several times, but BUSY does not even begin to capture what these 5 months were. (Although, I have already updated my banner two weeks ago).
Before June starts tomorrow, I’d like to write a quick update.
Strike a pose inside the office
It has been 6 months since I started working with this team. They are undoubtedly the most intelligent and most down to earth people I have ever met. To think my two bosses have always been stellar scientists in the world, they still are as accessible, approachable, and not amiss with their funny bones.
The crazy bunch braving the Tagaytay weather in shorts (because we were supposed to swim in the sea, but I don’t know what happened while we were there LOL)
We have titles (I’m finally a manager from being an assistant), but, at least among us, we have a flat organization. All of us have no qualms with what needs to be done and I really enjoy our synergy. However, sometimes I feel bad that I had to draw my ‘manager card’ when dealing with people outside our group because only then they will move. It just feels wrong, in my opinion. *shrugs*
To all my (silent) readers, I want to let you know that this page is still alive! (And a HAPPY NEW YEAR too!) LOL I might not be as diligent with updating BRYOLOGUE lately, but I am still here! I have been (yet again) keeping tabs on a lot of things, thus the delay in posting. But most of all, A LOT of things have happened since the last time I gave an in-depth view of my day-to-day activities. I just finished renewing my self-hosting, and I could not believe that a year has quickly flown by since I had bitten the bullet.
To cut the chase, this is the most significant update of my life:
I’m finally home?
It is by no means doing a Naomi Campbell. It is more than that. Remember when Andy had to throw her cellphone at the Fontaine des Fleuves in Place de la Concorde and walked away? That was how it felt a couple of weeks ago when I handed in my resignation. Yes, I’m finally free from the organization! (And yes, I’m back writing and I am now free to write!)

Between time zones and maps
A week has passed since I started working for my new job and what can I say? I honestly have a lot of things in mind, but I’m not too sure if I am at a liberty to voice out everything here. So I guess I would have just to be more discerning of what I would be posting when it comes to my work. It was not out of fear because we had a gag order or something like that, but it was a pretense of professionalism from my part. Kidding! All jokes aside, I am definitely enjoying with everything. 🙂
