When was the last time I had planned an event? The good thing about my new role is that I get to do the same kind of organizing I did in my former humanitarian role. The better thing? I will not be doing it alone.
For this thanksgiving dinner to our sponsors, I had been planning in the last 3 weeks with our intern. She’s also taking up International Studies and she was (luckily) assigned to our department.
We had been in constant contact with the focal person from Makati Shangri-La. It was tedious, and that is all I am allowed to say. LOL
Six years ago, in an attempt to create a separate avenue for self-expression and practice writing for my comprehensive exams, I had created BRYOLOGUE. It was even hosted for free at WordPress.com, before I ventured into self-hosting in January 2015.
I admittedly become absent here from time to time, but I should not let this anniversary pass without an entry. I haven’t even managed to post one on the 5th.
Several times I have been informed by friends and acquaintances that they have stumbled upon this website. Again, it makes me feel uneasy when they bring this to my attention. But then again, whatever they read here, they must accept the frivolity and, at times, candor that I offer.
Although I don’t promote at all, I’ve seen several Facebook posts grabbing photos here, but with proper attribution. However, there were also times that I saw posts using my photos without asking.
Anyway, after transferring to the laboratory back in March, we will be going back to the pool downstairs starting Monday. All things considered, it is best that we sit there along with the other programs.
One on the guitar, one on his laptop
Who will not love this modern lab? However, it is really fair enough we go downstairs again. So, goodbye lab! Those were fun three months with you!
Contrary to what you have initially thought, I was not pertaining to just one shirt.
As what I have previously expressed before June ended, it’s getting cumbersome deciding every morning. But the no-fuss, solid dark shirt for the day would have been liberating.
So last Sunday, on our routine night in SM, I took the plunge. I was looking forward to a carefree week and I could start it with a perfect black. round-neck shirt. Likewise, my ceiling price was less than Php 150.
The perfect black shirt. I’ll get five in one color!
I’m already halfway the semestral break and enlistment is due to start soon. With a little trick with our pocket Wi-Fi, I have been watching a lot of videos from YouTube.
I enjoyed Graveraven’s channel on YouTube a lot. It has a series of fashion documentaries by Loïc Prigent, and I started off with Donatella Versace. I adore her candor and warmth towards her staff, especially her fondness and longing to her brother Gianni. Sure, her physical appearance was nowhere near the late 90s, but she is commanding and humorous at the same time.
The last documentary I’ve watched is Alexander Wang’s. With his relatively younger label and no fuss approach to his personal style. Come to think of it, it might be something I’d like to adopt in real life.
As days pass by, I find myself picking just a plain black or dark blue shirt. I’m also beginning to wear black pants that I ignored for months. But expect me to jazz it up with a bag, of course. I came to the conclusion that I should start being unapologetic about myself, unlike what I mentioned before.
Rise above the mess
